Cruising the Danube

We are putting together a group of folks to cruise the magnificent Danube River in September of 2013, and we would love to have you join us. The cruise begins in Amsterdam and end up in Budapest, Hungary. To whet your whistle, the chamber, Twin Travel and Collette Travel are hosting an evening travelogue slide show in our meeting room at the Visitor Centre, 7pm, Tuesday, June 26th. Your will be introduced to the palatial cruise vessel we will call home for 14 days, learn about the ports of call along the way and get a taste of how well we will be hosted and fed. It will be a first class adventure, discovering the real Europe via the internal waterways - truly one for your bucket list. And, the chamber benefits from each ticket sold. Come and get the details on cost, exact dates and travel tips from the professionals from Collette Travel and Twin Travel and Cruises. The evening’s entertainment is absolutely free. The room is starting to fill up, so register by calling Twin Travel at 724 6501 today.

Thanks to John Tapics, CEO of Compliance Energy for up-dating us on the Raven Coal project. It was nice to hear from the project proponent directly and clear up much of the “sky is falling” misinformation. Our next Networking Luncheon is set for Wednesday, September 12th. Coming to talk to us about the Asia Pacific marketplace and to provide us with his take on Canadian politics will be former Cabinet Minister, Stockwell Day.
