The Canada Day parade has a spot for your group, your business or even your family entry – just ask! All our invitations have already been sent out for the Canada Day parade.. If you didn't get an invitation, or if you aren’t on our contact list, you need to e-mail or phone us as soon as possible. In return, you’ll receive an entry form and information package. It’s always exciting to learn which new entries we will have in the parade!
...Art Matter’s Society is looking for local groups, businesses, clubs and non-profits to sponsor the upcoming Alberni Valley Fringe Theatre Festival. We produced fourteen years of very successful unjuried live Fringe Festivals in the Fraser Valley and continuing our mandate to foster and encourage the arts we are bringing a festival to Port Alberni June 21,22,23, 2013.

Literacy Alberni Society is a non-profit society focused on the programming and support for those with literacy needs. Literacy Alberni encompasses a broad spectrum of literacy needs including English as a Second Language and settlement assistance, computer skills, adult grade 12 Diploma, nutrition and cooking, reading and writing, and numeracy.
