Available, Tuesday December 15th will be our first ever Alberni Valley Bear Smart Calendar!
Featuring 12 stunning bear photographs chosen from our photo contest held for Alberni Valley residents during this past summer, this calendar is full of valuable information & tips on how to be Bear Smart and prevent human-bear conflict in your neighbourhood!
All proceeds will go directly to the Alberni Valley Bear Smart Committee to help further educational efforts in our community. In the upcoming year, the committee will provide local schools with interactive presentations to educate children on bear safety, bear biology and how to prevent human-bear conflicts. The committee will also continue with regular “Bear Smart” newspaper articles, door-door campaigns and actively participate at community events.
Copies of the calendar are available at the Clock Tower Gallery and Rollin Arts Centre. You may also contact Dawn Boyce at 250-723-2187 or Christina Brack at 250-723-9200 to have a copy delivered to you.
