Pamela Ana to speak at January Food and Filosophy

As we leave this year and d enter into the next, I thank the A/V. Times very much for helping the various clubs in this valley for giving us all an opportunity to share our ideas with the rest of the community. We had more than a full house at our last meeting, and now we are inviting you all to our first meeting in January 2015. I also thank the membership for taking the initiative of inviting some very interesting people to be our guest speakers.
On Monday, January 5th, we will be listening to Pamela Ana, who is the owner of Wellness Matters Counselling and Psychotherapy. I remember inviting her to one of the sessions of Food and Filosophy, and now she regularly attends our meetings. I then asked her to share with us her thoughts on Counselling, and she has agreed to do so. Here now are the thoughts of Ana.
Just what is counselling? Maybe you have been stressed for years and going to counselling has been suggested to you. But you are scared. You think it will be costly. You think that you do not have the time. Relax. When you understand how counselling works, you will come as having a life coach. It is a way to have a professional listener help you to declutter your thoughts and emotions so that you could focus on the game of life.
While counselling, you can: Vent your emotions and share your secrets. This feels good. It is probably not wise to tell your spouse or family everything. You can tell a counsellor. You can divulge any shame. You can talk about fear. A counsellor is not going to be shocked about your deepest worries. You can establish a relationship with someone who really knows you well and who will help you through those tough spots of your life.
I hope by now you can see the importance of this process. There may be many in this group who has undertaken this human journey.
As this is the first meeting of the year, I would like to ask our counsellor for the evening one main question. I would like to hear your advice on the following question: How do you live the best life here and now? Another question if you have the time. I would like Port Alberni to be known as the City of Love. How do we go about this transformation? When people ask me where do you live? Live in the city of love.
Dear Counsellor, am I unrealistic? I look forward to your answers, not only from our guest counsellor, but also to my brothers and sisters at the meeting...Reminder: Meeting is on January 5th, Dolce Vita at 5:30 p.m. You also told me that you have a guest for February. Tell us about your guest. Thanks...
