Where should I invest?
In today’s world we are reminded of the importance of investing in our own futures. We’re encouraged to buy Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, RRSP’s, and of course we love our Real Estate. But, are we potentially overlooking one critical investment? Are we forgetting how we even get to our financial well-being? Do we even know what investment or asset we might be overlooking?
I’ve determined the investment asset through my role within the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE where we confirm via our Mission Statement that “We support and promote our business community through Advocacy, Education and Communication.” The word in that statement that reflects the required asset, or investment, is Education; my focus for today.
When you think about your own ongoing knowledge ask yourself some questions, such as. “Do I assess my business, top to bottom every day? Do I watch my business performance based on how my customers might see it? Do I know how to read my financials; or can I even create them? Do I assess my everyday marketing strategies? Do I leverage Facebook and its almost infinite reach? What about Twitter? Do I shrug it off like many do, or do I recognize that it can, and does, allow me to develop a following so that I can bring more customers, thus more profits to my business? Do I STEP OUT of my business in order to learn more thus giving me more energy and knowledge when I STEP BACK IN?”
