A Win Win Win Coast Realty Project

The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce has to give a tip of the hat to Coast Realty for successfully staging a “home makeover” promotion. Nominations for the home makeover project were taken from the public and an overall winner was picked from the list. The successful nomination was provided a complete exterior paint job, new landscaping and a general cleanup of the property – all for free. Coast Realtors volunteered their time during the weekend to scrape, paint, shovel and prune. Colyn’s Landscaping provided a lion’s share of the back breaking work, Benjamin Moore provided the paint and McCoy Lake Contracting gave some soil and gravel. It ended up to be a win-win-win situation. The homeowner had a newly painted house with vastly improved curb appeal, the neighbourhood benefited because folks were shamed into fixing their properties up with a new coat of paint and Coast Realty gained status as a great corporate citizen. Congratulations to all involved – a truly great news story.
We have another lucky winner in our monthly draws in the Shop Alberni campaign. This time around the winner is Jean Thomas. Jean will have fun spending a $25.00 gift certificate at Jenny’s Fine Foods and Eclectics next to Carmoor’s Cookery. (Tip: try the garlic infused balsamic vinegar). Last month, Sean Stevens won a gift certificate to the Animal Ark. Each month we will make a lucky draw for shopping in one of our participating merchant’s stores. To be eligible, stop by any store with the Shop Alberni poster in the window and register for your discount card. There are well over a thousand registered shoppers out there to-date, so merchants not yet in the program should sign up asap. Just give our office a call for all the details. The whole campaign is aimed at providing shoppers with discount deals, increasing traffic in stores and keeping shopping dollars in the valley.
