Dave Panting & Greg Simm -Bios
Detour – A string driven side trip down the musical back roads of Britain, Ireland and North America.

Dave Panting has been a key figure in helping define the “East Coast” sound for over forty years. From his early work with the seminal folk rock band “Figgy Duff” to his recent success with Celtic-rock band  “Rawlins Cross” Panting has cast a lasting impression on the music scene of Eastern Canada. Currently residing in St John’s NL, Dave can be heard performing regularly with the “Forgotten Bouzouki” a group dedicated to preserving traditional Greek music.
Greg Simm is based in Dartmouth NS and has been associated with a long list of performers from that area for over forty years. Growing up playing clubs across the Maritimes and Ontario was his introduction to the music scene. As well as performing for many years with some of Atlantic Canada’s best loved performers such as Gordon Stobbe, John Gracie, and Kendra MacGillivray he also toured five years with Grammy Award winner Denny Doherty of the 60’s super group “The Mamas & Papas”
