Alberni Curling is proud to host the 2015 Tim Hortons BC Senior Curling Championships.
This sixteen team event features the best senior men's and ladies curlers in the Province, in round robin play starting February 16 and concluding with the finals at 2.PM on Saturday Feb 21, 2015. This highly competitive group includes former winners at the Brier and Scotties Provincial and Canadian Championships as well as World and Olympic curlers.
Hosting this event of 64 curlers plus coaches, spares, family and friends takes a lot of organization and volunteers to bring it to success. We are fortunate to have such a hard working crew and are particularly thankful for our sponsors, details at albernicurling.ca.
Spectators are welcome at the Alberni curling club and those in attendance will be treated to some great shot making as the teams vie for a berth in the Senior Canadian Championships and a chance at the World's. Draws run daily Tuesday to Thursday at 9.30 AM, 2.30 and 7.30 PM with tie breakers and semi-finals on Friday.
Vancouver Island teams include the Lynn Noble rink from Qualicum, Heather Lindsay from Nanaimo for ladies and the Dean Thulin rink from Campbell River and Wes Craig rink from Victoria.
