Tue, May 8th, 5-8pm, Town Meeting – John Douglas for Mayor of Port Alberni – Vote October 20th, 2018

John wrote: There is a City election in October.  This election is the most important opportunity we have, in the way of direct citizen involvement, for helping Port Alberni move forward into a diversified, stable and growing Community.  Municipal elections are the most direct contact you can have in controlling our future.  This is where you get to elect people you actually meet around the community, people you bump into on the street, at the hardware or grocery store, people with whom you can have a direct say on how you wish to live.  This event is for those community members who wish to support the John Douglas For Mayor campaign.  A number of people have asked me to run for election as Mayor in October of 2018.  A number of people have told me to run for election in October.  This is a preliminary event to hear input, discuss ideas and concerns, to reestablish the honest face to face discussions that we need to have in order to build Port Alberni back into the success it can be.  If you feel that not enough has been done in regards to Crime, in regards to Health Services, with Seniors Care, with Education possibilities, with Opportunities for Young people, with Small Business development. with Honest and Open government, I hope you will consider joining in on this event, and get more involved in supporting this direction.  

This is a casual “drop in when you can” event, from 5 pm until 8pm. I look forward to you meeting myself and my wife Donna, and our core group of volunteers. We look forward to you joining our team for rebuilding a Positive Port Alberni!   Thank you.
