Sun, Nov 29th 2:30-4:30pm, Matinee Concert – Rockland Moran – Roots/Blues
Rockland Moran is an original songwriter and seasoned performer, who has entertained audiences of all sizes for more than three decades. He is an avid recording artist with five CD’s and five independent film scores to his credit.  A decade ago, Rockland re-invented his guitar playing by shifting to open tuned acoustic. He has also mastered the “Keith Pegs” that give a haunting steel guitar effect to his original tunes.  Passionate instrumental music was the product of this metamorphosis, and in 2008 his nine song “Instrumentals” CD was released.  In 2014 Rockland recorded and released his latest original roots/blues CD “Come Sundown”.  Expect a new CD at the end of 2015.  Rockland has shared the stage with such greats as Leo “Bud” Welch, Roy Rogers, and Blind Boy Paxton.  2014’s highlights were performing at the Victoria Jazz festival, The Harrison Festival of the Arts and The Vancouver Island Music Fest.  Along with performing his original songs, Rockland also teaches workshops in open tuning, slide guitar behind the fret, and Harmonica.  www.eldivino.com  https://youtu.be/x62T7NCygdo  http://youtu.be/c9FGghAeojY  http://youtu.be/abAwCNvYF-c
