Business Community Input on City Budget Required

If you are concerned about the City's budget and how it will affect you, your business and your community please act and please forward this message to all of your business contacts:

As you are aware, the City of Port Alberni is facing unprecedented financial pressures as a result of the current industrial tax situation. As a result the City is looking at any and all options to cover this looming budgetary crisis. There are some groups and organizations in this community that have been very organized, very proactive and very vocal in providing their version of solutions and opportunities for the City to pursue. These groups do not, necessarily, represent the same interests as the small business community and your large investment in this community for this community and for your family.

Community Futures Alberni-Clayoquot encourages you to contact Port Alberni City Council and its members to ensure that the voice of small business - the future of this community's, and your own, economic well
being - is heard and considered.

All budget feedback must be given prior to February 4th.
