Argyle Pier Breakwater: UPDATE

The Port Alberni Port Authority is pleased to advise the public that - barring any unforeseen circumstances - the Argyle Pier Breakwater at Harbour Quay will be open to pedestrian access by this Saturday, July 21st.

Everyone is reminded to be aware of your surroundings, others around you, and use caution while on the breakwater.

The Port Authority thanks Harbour Quay merchants for their patience while this phase of the project was under construction as well as the public for its interest and positive feedback. This project will continue to evolve and expand upon the opportunities to enhance the community and economic opportunities it presents.

A formal "Grand Opening" of the breakwater will be coordinated among the Port Authority and its funding partners in the future.
