Also known around the lower mainland as “Jigger Pine”, Lou is an accomplished and thoroughly professional entertainer of many years’ experience. Raised in Port Alberni, BC, Lou left school at 18, for the glamour of playing guitar for hall dances in a Country band doing one-nighters all across BC. He has performed with such entertainers as Bobby Bare ( “Miller’s Cave” “Detroit City”), Rockabilly legend Buddy Knox ( “Party Doll”, “Hula Love” ), Legendary country guitarist Redd Volkaert, ( six years with Merle Haggard, Duet with Brad Paisley ), and George Canyon. He has also performed on Juno-nominated recordings with such local musicians as Evan Kemp, Elmer Tippe, and the late Kenny Stockton. Recording studio credits also include sessions with Tom Lavin, Jake Doell, and Martin Shaer. Lou plays lead guitar, and, using the latest in music technology, creates full accompaniment in his own style, as well as music faithful to the original popular recordings. His musical styles include Country ( modern and traditional ), Folk, Bluegrass, Latin, Classic Rock, Blues, Big Band, and Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll.
